Inching closer to 50 baskets given out!! PTL!

I was able to deliver 2 baskets today–one to an elderly man who is having a hard time and the other to a family of 4 that was burned out last week. I had one more for another family of 6 but they had left the motel, hopefully I can get it to them in the next week. I also was able to pick up a few more items for the baskets and located some less expensive baskets closer to home.

A local paper will be taking pictures and doing an interview next week. Hopefully this will bring awareness to what we are doing. Read More

Thankful

I am thankful today for all God has blessed me with and for those who have donated and helped deliver baskets. When I see or hear of someone who is living on less than what I would make in a few months or someone who has lost everything in a fire it breaks my heart. Read More

Supplying the need!

We took a few days to visit my brother, look for deals and attend some awesome services in the Springfield/Branson, MO area. I am so excited about what is happening and is going to happen with LBFoL!  The past few weeks have been very interesting and exciting all in one! God is connecting the dots on some very exciting things to come!

While over there I was able to pick up some more baskets and items for the baskets. When we got home today and checked the mailbox I had received the nicest thank-you card from one of the local families that had received a LBFoL a few weeks back. As I read the card and letter the tears began to flow Read More

Spring has Sprung!

I am so glad Spring has arrived! I love how things come back to life and birds start their songs early in the mornings! But Spring also brings on severe weather conditions. We have already had tornadoes in our area with devastation and loss of life. Spring has also brought on the news of 3 very large employers in our area that will be closing down this year. There will be over 400 that will lose their jobs.  Spring also brings extra needs to those who are on a limited income when the Christmas gifts or donations have been used up. We at LBFoL want to be able to help those who will be hit hard with weather conditions,  job losses and those who are stretching to buy food and putting the “extras” back until the next time they go to the store–as in household and personal hygiene items. Things that we at LBFoL can help supply for them. Read More

Report of Thanks

I just want to update you on a couple of things. We sent out two baskets last week to an elderly lady and a couple that had lost work. We received back the most precious thank you card and the report of a touching response they gave to Myrna (who delivered the baskets). She was greeted with tears of gratitude and thankfulness along with the question, “How much do we owe you or what can we do to repay you”?

Her response was, “When God has blessed you fill a basket, pass it on.” That is what I truly want to happen! I would love to have this spread all over with others passing on the “extras” to someone else in need.

Thanks again to all who are helping and supporting! God Bless each of you!
