I have had several who have messaged and emailed that they would like to help us at LBFOL. If you are interested in volunteer work with LBFOL or just learning more about what we’re doing, we will have a meet, greet and information meeting on Monday, September 24, 2012. This is only an informational and getting acquainted meeting! You will not be pressured into helping!
We have had several that want to get involved and help so we are opening this up to all those in the Sikeston and Southeast Missouri area that are interested in learning more about LBFOL and what we are doing. Please contact us, comment on this post below, message us on our Facebook page, or if you know me personally and want to call me, that will work too.
We will have a float in the Cotton Carnival parade on September 29, 2012 in Sikeston, MO so look for us there. There are several businesses, organizations, churches and groups that are collecting items for the baskets. Praise the Lord! We are working on a Christmas project that will involve about 75 families/senior citizens receiving a special LBFOL Christmas Basket, but with your help, this will grow and we’ll be able to help even more! We have sent letters to civic organizations in our community and look forward to hearing back from them. We will be talking with the United Way chairman on Tuesday of next week to get us connected with them.
We will be delivering one or two baskets tomorrow. If you know of someone who needs help with the “extras” please contact us or if you would like to help you can check out our How can I help page.
Thank you so much to those who have collected items and names for us. We appreciate your support and prayers.
God Bless you all,
Marilyn Hull
