Who Gets A Basket

Elderly Neighbors

Unfortunately, many of the elderly have become invisible and forgotten in our fast-paced, social-media driven society. These are people who have worked their whole lives but now find themselves struggling to make it on a very low fixed income. The items in a Laundry Basket Full of Love provide them a sense of dignity and self-worth, while taking some of the financial strain off their limited budgets.

No one should have to choose between food or much-needed medicine and toothpaste or dish soap.

There is nothing like seeing the face of one of these neighbors light up when they open their front door and find one of our volunteers with a Laundry Basket Full of Love for them.

Just a note to say thank you for your basket of love. It was so thoughtful and I can use every one of the items. Much thanks to everyone associated with LBFOL.

 Victims of Catastrophic Loss

So many times we hear of people in our area who have lost their home and belongings to fire or catastrophic weather events like floods or tornadoes. We also are struck to learn of a family that is devastated from the death of a providing adult. Laundry Baskets Full of Love tries to help ease the burden and pain of these losses with items that sometimes get overlooked in all the chaos of recovery or mourning.

I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity. What a lovely surprise! Thank you again and God bless you!
