We would like to thank all who have helped and supported us in 2012. We delivered 292 baskets and received $7928.50 in donations. We could not have done it with out all of you! We had 44 volunteers throughout 2012 who helped mark items, fill and deliver baskets, make bows, make candy Christmas trees, decorate our parade float, give us names of those who needed baskets, and the list goes on and on.
But one lady was always right there with me–if not in person, in spirit–my Mom, L. Blanche Hull. She was looking forward to helping with Project Christmas Basket, but her health would not let her be there in person to help. Even though she wasn’t able to be there, I could feel her moral support and all those prayers she prayed for me.
On January 6, 2013 she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She had just asked me the day before how LBFOL was going and if I was getting help marking the items. I told her it was going good and that I had a helper, LaRae, who was helping with marking items and delivering baskets while I had been visiting Mom in the hospital. She was very pleased that I had LaRae helping when she couldn’t, and I am so thankful to LaRae for all of your help. Words cannot express my appreciation for you!
My brother set up a memorial for Mom through LBFOL and to-date we have received $1060! I know she is rejoicing at the many families that will be blessed by your donations. Thank you so much and God bless each of you. If you would like to donate in her memory please visit the Blanche Hull Memorial page. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to help those in need. If you would like to contact us check out our contact us page.
We have started 2013 out a little slow. We’ve only delivered two baskets so far, due to time spent with my Mom and managing her memorial services and estate, but we are looking forward to a bigger and better 2013! Don’t miss out on your opportunity to bless others with LBFOL!
Thank you in advance,
Marilyn Hull
