We owe so much of what we have been able to do to our great army of volunteers who help process basket items, load baskets, make deliveries and help organize our big events!
If you would like to be part of the effort to make a difference in the lives of so many in the Southeast Missouri area, there are many ways that you can help touch people’s lives with Laundry Baskets Full of Love!
Help Spread the Word
here are many ways to tell others about Laundry Baskets of Love and the lives we’re touching:
- Tell your friends and invite them to visit laundrybasketsfulloflove.org or the LBFOL Facebook page.

Preparing Items
One of the most time-consuming aspects of Laundry Baskets Full of Love is preparing items for baskets. This includes:
- Applying stickers to the individual items
- Disabling the UPS codes to prevent store returns
- Re-boxing and storing items on the LBFOL shelves
Contact LBFOL if you are interested in helping prepare basket items.
Individual Basket Deliveries
LBFOL has delivered thousands of baskets since its beginning, and making deliveries to individual homes in the Southeast Missouri area is a great way to help the effort. There is no greater feeling than seeing the surprised delight on the face of an elderly neighbor when they learn that they have received a Laundry Basket Full of Love.
Contact LBFOL if you would be available to make basket deliveries.
Join a Big Event
Every year Laundry Baskets Full of Love holds big volunteer events designed to fill and deliver one hundred or more baskets in a single day. We have been honored to welcome entire families, teams of co-workers from local businesses, Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, church groups and many others to our big events.
Project Christmas Basket is our annual Christmas event focused on bringing Christmas cheer to the residents of elderly housing buildings and individual homes. We also are proud to partner with local businesses and groups to participate in special locally hosted events, like the Isle of Capri in Cape Girardeau. Of course, we can’t forget Spring Clean 2013, which was our biggest event to date (350 baskets in one day!).
Contact LBFOL if you would like to be part of our next big event.
