How Laundry Baskets Full of Love started

For those visiting our web site for the first time here is the link to a short video that was put together by a good friend of ours Chris Carnell in 2013. This video shows our first Project Christmas Basket in 2012 and our first Spring Clean event in April of 2013.

We used Marilyn and her mom’s garage for the first Project Christmas Basket 2012. The last Saturday of November we were filling baskets and putting them in their driveway then moving them back in the garage to be stored until the next Saturday when we delivered all 106 of them to two senior citizens housing areas in Sikeston and East Prairie, MO.  When Marilyn’s mom passed in January 2013 they decided to have a Spring Clean Event in memory of her mom Blanche Hull, around the time of her birthday in April 2013. Marilyn’s UPS co-workers and supervisors joined with LBFOL volunteers, friends and families donating their facility to fill baskets and their trucks to deliver over 350 baskets in one day to 7 different towns in SE Missouri. It touched the hearts of those giving and receiving the baskets. It was quite a glorious day!

Since this video was made we have had two more Project Christmas Basket Events and have delivered baskets on a weekly basis throughout SE Missouri. We are at 1569 baskets delivered since our beginning.

Thank you so much to our volunteers, families, friends and those who support us with their donations. We appreciate everyone of you.  If you would like to help us help others with a laundry basket full of love you can do so through our pay pal link or mailing address. God Bless you!
