Cold weather doesn’t stop the need

Even though we have been hit with some very cold weather over the last three months, the names of families and senior citizens in need are still coming in. Even more so now that the electric and gas bills will be going up we will be receiving many more names in the next month to come. When a senior citizens gas bill jumps by 300% in one month it is certain that they will do without the “extras” and in some cases even food and medicine. Now is the time to help us help those who will be in dire need especially in the next few months. Most of us will get a tax refund and what better way to give back to our community and the heritage of those who have lived through very rough times and are spending their senior years with less and less on a daily basis? I am so thankful for the donations that have come in over the last few weeks. Of those donations three have been elderly women who have been blessed and wanted to help those who are living day to day, week to week and month to month to figure out which “extras” they will not buy. Won’t you help us bless those who have given so much to our heritage and lives? All donations are tax deductible and very much needed in these very trying times. You can donate through our pay pal link or our mailing address.

We received a name just a day ago of a disabled lady who moved here and is in dire need of the basic things we take for granted. We will be getting a basket ready this weekend to take to her. We also received some items donated by Felica & Chad and also from Malory & Chris from Gingersnapz Photography. Thank you so much to these couples who are helping us bless others.

If you know of someone in the South East Missouri area that is in need of a LBFOL basket you can message us here or through our face book page.

Thank you in advance and God Bless each of you,  Marilyn
