Over the past few days we have been ordering items for our second annual Project Christmas Basket on December 7, 2013. We have more than 3500 items ordered and coming in this weekend and next week. We also have 800 items to pick up next week to add to our more-than 2800 items that have been marked and stored for the big day.
There is a lot of time and prep that goes into having a big one-day event like Project Christmas Basket, and we need your help! We will have approximately 250 baskets to fill and give away to some very deserving senior citizens in our local town and surrounding area on December 7. PCB ’13 will put our total of baskets given away since we began September 1, 2011 to over 1000!
Thanks to our supporters and business donations, we have raised $4225 of the $8750 needed to pay for all the items we have ordered for the PCB 2013. That’s right at half of what we need to make this holiday season very special for more than 200 struggling senior citizens. We appreciate all who have donated and helped us get to where we are, but we need your help!
